I'm Nik Hulewsky. I've built, scaled, and sold a handful of businesses, I co-founded CoFounders, an incubator that partners with entrepreneurs to launch and acquire companies, and I host the Nikonomics podcast. Here's what has my attention right now.

Buying and scaling small businesses

Most of my energy goes into helping people buy and grow small businesses through CoFounders. Lately I've been writing down the things I wish I'd known sooner: a framework I call CRAFT that took one buyer from a $90k purchase to $7.8M, and the critical steps to work through before you start a healthcare company. That last one I learned the hard way, after buying a medical billing company through an SBA loan and building a home health and hospice business from scratch.

AI tools for founders

I keep coming back to how much a small team can now build with the right AI tools. I've been digging into OpenClaw's takeover of token usage, the Google AI tools most people are sleeping on, and operators like Minh Nguyen who are turning automated directories into real monthly revenue. The question I keep testing against every idea: is this business AI-proof, or is it AI-accelerated?

The Nikonomics podcast

A lot of this comes together on Nikonomics, where I sit down with founders and operators to dig into the actual economics of small business. The conversations have been landing, and we just crossed 10,000 subscribers on YouTube. I'm always on the hunt for the next operator with a story worth unpacking.

When I'm not building or recording, I'm at home in Idaho. Getting fired twice early in my career was the push I needed to stop letting my future rest in someone else's hands, and I'm grateful to spend my days on projects and people I actually enjoy. If you're working on something, find me at CoFounders or on LinkedIn.
